Group Psychotherapy

 

A treatment that people with emotional problems meet in a  group  led by a psychotherapist and help each other to carry out changes in behavior or personality. In  Group Psychotherapy ,  Professional directs the interactions of members of the group  to achieve their changes.

 

 

 

OBJECTIVES

  • To express themselves in a group setting.
  •  Enhance trust and confidence in oneself.
  • To better communicate with others.
  • To facilitate the understanding of others and their own difficulties.
  • Promoting Mental Health in the group.

 

METHOD

Are usually a small group of six to eight people and length of sessions is one hour. Have a frequency less than the Individual lPsychotherapy  and Psychotherapist, often assume a more active role than in other therapies.
