Depression

The Depression is one of the most common disorders in the Western world. Symptoms of depression are a consistent trend of low mood, a feeling of great sadness, negative thoughts, weakening of the will, feelings of guilt, somatic (headache, muscle etc.) great difficulty in coping with life go ahead, appreciate and enjoy the positives.

 

TYPES OF DEPRESSION:

Endogenous:  It’s coming from “inside” without apparent reason or external source (nothing happened that precipitate traumatic. usually is cyclical. Its origins partly biological and partly learned and is deeply rooted in personality.

Exogenous: Reactive face of adversity. Generally coincides with a traumatic life event such as death of a loved one, marital problems, economic, etc.. There is an external reason and observable for sadness and discouragement. Depression is a reaction to the event and blocks the ability of individuals to overcome naturally the process that is going through.

Noógena: Spiritual Depression. Responds to a perceived lack of meaning in life. Dominated by a sense of frustrationand generaldiscouragement

 

Symptoms of Depression:

  • Depressed mood.
  • Decreased pleasure or interest in any activity.
  • Increase or decrease in weight / appetite.
  • Insomnia or hypersomnia. / Fatigue or loss of energy.
  • Excessive feelings of worthlessness or guilt.
  • Trouble concentrating or making decisions.
  • Recurrent thoughts of death or suicide
